CBS SPORTS’ NFL SEASON-TO-DATE RATINGS OFF TO BEST START IN
THREE YEARS, UP 4% THROUGH THREE WEEKS
National Window, Highlighted by New Orleans-Seattle, Rates as Highest of Day Earning a
14.2/29 Rating/Share in Metered Markets
CBS Sports’ first national game of the 2019 NFL season on Sunday, Sept. 22 scored in the ratings with its highest opening national game rating of the season in four years.
Through the first three weeks of the NFL season, THE NFL ON CBS’ season-to-date rating is its highest in three years, up +4%, averaging a 10.9/24 household rating/share in the metered markets (2016; 11.4/23).
CBS’ national 4:25 PM, ET window earned a 14.2/29 average household rating/share in the metered markets, a +1% increase versus its comparable opening national game last year (14.0/28; Week 2 – 9/16/18). The national window was highlighted by the New Orleans-Seattle game and was the highest-rated game window of the day.
