OUTSTANDING PLAYOFF COVERAGE FOR NCAA TOURNAMENT AND TWO BIGGEST TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

Network’s Coverage of 2019 Masters Wins Three Emmy Awards

CBS Sports won Sports Emmy Awards in five of the night’s biggest event production categories, including Outstanding Live Sports Special for the Masters, Outstanding Live Sports Series for THE NFL ON CBS, and Outstanding Playoff Coverage for NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, at the 41st Annual Sports Emmy Awards last night.

In addition, CBS Sports won two of the night’s biggest categories for technical achievement for Outstanding Technical Team Remote and the George Wensel Technical Achievement Award for “Every Shot, Every Hole” in conjunction with Augusta National for its coverage of the Masters.

CBS Sports’ Lesley Visser also was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The awards were held by remote broadcast due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
