“THE NFL ON CBS” WEEK 15 DOUBLEHEADER AVERAGES 19.317 MILLION VIEWERS FOR DAY, UP +15%

KANSAS CITY-NEW ORLEANS GAME IS MOST-WATCHED PROGRAM ON TELEVISION IN MONTH OF DECEMBER

 

THE NFL ON CBS’ Week 15 doubleheader coverage on Sunday, Dec. 20 scored in viewership for the day. In addition, the Kansas City-New Orleans game is the most-watched program on television in the month of December.

 

● Viewership for the national and regional game windows combined for the day averaged 19.317 million viewers and is CBS’ best doubleheader average of the season. Viewership was up +15% compared to the average of its prior seven doubleheader weekends this season (16.763 million).

 

● Viewership for the national 4:25 PM, ET game window averaged 22.940 million viewers, which is the most-watched program on television for the month of December. The national window was highlighted by the Kansas City-New Orleans game.

 

On CBS All Access, which features live streaming coverage of all NFL ON CBS games, Week 15 was the most-streamed week of the NFL season and Sunday's Kansas City-New Orleans matchup was the most streamed regular season matchup. CBS All Access has delivered strong viewership through the 15 weeks of the NFL season with double-digit year-over-year growth overall in average minute audience and triple-digit year-over-year growth overall in streams. CBS All Access viewership also is included in Nielsen television ratings.
