"BIG BROTHER" POSTS ITS BEST WEDNESDAY PREMIERE IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOGRAPHIC SINCE 2003

All Three "Big Brother" Premieres Sweep Their Respective Time Periods in Key Ratings Measures

  

Last Night's "Big Brother" Up Double Digit Percentages from Last Year

  

            BIG BROTHER posted its best Wednesday premiere in viewers and key demographics since 2003 with double digit percentages increases versus last summer, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for July 13.

 

From 8:00-9:00 PM, BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was first in households (4.4/08), viewers (7.25m), adults 25-54 (3.1/09), adults 18-49 (2.6/09) and adults 18-34 (2.1/08).  Compared to last year's season premiere of BIG BROTHER 12 WEDNESDAY, CBS was up +13% in both households (from 3.9/07) and adults 18-49 (from 2.3/08), +15% in adults 25-54 (from 2.7/09), +17% in adults 18-34 (from 1.8/07) and added +860,000 viewers (from 6.39m, +13%). 

 

All three BIG BROTHER season premiere episodes won their time slots in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

 

This was the best WEDNESDAY premiere for BIG BROTHER in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 since BIG BROTHER 4 in 2003. (Note: BIG BROTHER did not have Wednesday episodes in 2009 and from 2004-2007). 

 

Updated Wednesday ratings will be available this afternoon.
