"THE AMAZING RACE" SPRINTS TO THE FINISH LINE, PLACING FIRST IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOS

CBS Wins Its Ninth Consecutive Sunday in Viewers

  

The finale of THE AMAZING RACE 16 crossed the finish line first in viewers and key demographics as brothers Dan and Jordan Pious claimed the $1 million prize, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Sunday, May 9.

           

At 8:00 PM, THE AMAZING RACE 16 season finale was first in households (6.0/11), viewers (10.63m), adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and adults 18-49 (2.9/09).  Compared to last week, THE AMAZING RACE 16 added +340,000 viewers (from 10.29m, +3%). 

 

After 40,000 miles and five continents, the final 3 Teams - brothers Dan and Jordan, brothers Jet and Cord and couple/models Caite and Brent - traveled from Shanghai to San Francisco, where they scaled the world famous Coit Tower, guided each other through a virtual world at Industrial Light & Magic and faced a memory challenge at The Great American Music Hall.  In the end, brothers Dan and Jordan were the first team to cross the finish line, followed by brothers Jet and Cord and couple/models Caite and Brent.

 

Earlier, 60 MINUTES was first in households (6.9/14) and viewers (10.85m); it was second in adults 25-54 (2.2/07) and adults 18-49 (1.5/06) from 7:00-8:00 PM. 

 

At 9:00 PM, CBS SUNDAY MOVIE: "Jesse Stone: No Remorse" (S) was first in households (7.1/12) and viewers (11.38m).

 

For the night, CBS was first in households (6.8/12) and viewers (11.06m); it was second in adults 25-54 (2.6/07).  CBS was first in viewers for the ninth consecutive week.
