CBS RATINGS EXTRA: CBS REALITY SERIES HIT SEASON HIGHS DURING WORLD SERIES WEEK
"Survivor" Delivers Best Ratings in Nearly a Year, While "The Amazing Race" Dashes Off to Its Largest Audience of the Season
CBS's two reality series — SURVIVOR and THE AMAZING RACE — both notched season-high ratings during World Series week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 30.
SURVIVOR delivered its largest audience and highest adult 18-49 rating since Dec. 15 ("Survivor: Nicaragua") and largest adult 25-54 rating since Dec. 8. SURVIVOR: SOUTH PACIFIC was first in viewers (11.79m), adults 18-49 (3.5/11) and adults 25-54 (4.9/13) in its time period.
Meanwhile, Sunday's edition of THE AMAZING RACE dashed off with 11.01 million viewers, its largest audience of the season.Compared to last week, THE AMAZING RACE was up +14% in adults 25-54 (4.2/09 from 3.7/08), +11% in adults 18-49 (3.0/07 from 2.7/06) and added +1.41m viewers (from 9.60m, +15%).
