CBS SCORES LARGEST WEEKLY AUDIENCE IN ALMOST TWO YEARS AND LARGEST WEEKLY audience FOR ANY NETWORK IN OVER A YEAR

NETWORK Ratings Highlights for the week ending Jan. 24

According to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 24 (Week 18 of the 2020-2021 broadcast season), CBS attracted 10.41 million viewers (#1). CBS posted the largest weekly audience for any network since the week ending Feb. 2, 2020 (FOX’s Super Bowl 54 week). This is CBS’s largest weekly audience since the week ending Feb. 3, 2019 (CBS’s Super Bowl 53 week). The Network was also first in adults 25-54 (2.9) and adults 18-49 (2.3).

On Monday, BULL continued its solid performance in the 10:00 PM time period, winning the hour with 4.68 million viewers.

On Tuesday, CBS was the most-watched network with 8.06 million viewers as NCIS was first at 8:00 PM with a night-leading 9.63 million viewers. NCIS was the week’s most-watched drama. Compared to the last first-run episode on Dec. 8, NCIS added +1.09 million viewers (from 8.54m, +13%). At 9:00 PM, a special episode of NCIS was also first in viewers (8.74m) and FBI: MOST WANTED at 10:00 PM led its hour with a season-best 5.81 million viewers

On Thursday at 8:00 PM, YOUNG SHELDON attracted a night-leading 7.38 million viewers and was up +7% from its last original episode on Dec. 17, 2020 (from 6.87m). B-POSITIVE at 8:31 PM was second in viewers (5.05m) and was up +10% from its last original on Dec. 17 (from 4.60m). The freshman comedy also posted a series-best 0.7 in adults 18-49. At 9:01 PM, MOM was first in viewers with 5.02 million, up +9% (from 4.59m) from the same night in December.

On Friday, CBS was first in viewers (5.86m). First-run CBS Friday dramas have won the night in viewers every time this season (six consecutive wins). MACGYVER was first at 8:00 PM with 4.99 million viewers, MAGNUM P.I. topped the 9:00 PM hour (5.86m, +6% from last week’s 5.52m). At 10:00 PM, BLUE BLOODS led the night with 6.73 million viewers, up +3% from its last first run episode on Jan. 8 (from 6.56 million).

On Saturday, CBS was first in viewers (2.45m) behind encores of NCIS: LOS ANGELES (2.31m), S.W.A.T. (2.11m) and the night’s top program – an original 48 HOURS (2.95m)

On Sunday, CBS, with AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME ON CBS Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs” (6:41-10:06 PM), was first in viewers and key demographics. From 7:00-11:00 PM, CBS posted the best prime deliveries for any network since Feb. 2, 2020 (Super Bowl 54 Sunday) in viewers and key adult demos. This was the best CBS prime performance in viewers and key demos since Feb. 3, 2019 (Super Bowl 53 Sunday). The AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME delivered 41.85 million viewers – the season’s largest audience for any program this season.

FBI at 10:30 PM posted 8.99 million viewers, 2.4/14 in adults 25-54 and 2.0/15 in adults 18-49. FBI delivered series best adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 ratings. The series also posted a season best viewer delivery and the best adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 ratings for any drama this season.
