Diane Farr ("Rescue Me") Joins Cast

"Assassin" - Charlie applies a game theory model called "hide and seek" to predict the assassin's movements and calculate the probability of attack in order to protect the life of the man the killer plans to murder, on the second -season premiere of NUMB3RS, Friday, Sept. 23 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Bobby Roth directed the episode from a script by Cheryl Heuton and Nick Falacci.

Diane Farr ("Rescue Me") stars as Special Agent Megan Reeves, an FBI profiler who studied atin the FBI Behavioral Science Unit at Quantico, and and who has recently been assigned to the Los Angeles FBI bureau to work alongside Don ppes. ñ

After Don and his team stumble upon a code during a raid he enlists the help of Charlie who cracks the code and discovers that it is it is the plan for the assassination of a Columbian exile. Charlie and Megan (Farr) combine their expertise and work closely together to prevent the murder from taking place.

NUMB3RS is a drama about Don Eppesstarring Rob Morrow, as an FBI agent who recruits his mathematical-genius brother, Charlie (David Krumholtz), to help the Bureau solve a wide range of challenging crimes in Los Angeles. The two brothers take on the most confounding criminal cases from a very distinctive perspective. As a seasoned investigator, Don deals in hard facts and evidence whereas Charlie, a math professor at a California university, functions in a world of mathematical probability and equations. Their father, Alan, is happy to see his sons working together even though he doesn't understand what Charlie does for a living. When Charlie has doubts about the collaboration, he turns to his physicist friend, Dr. Larry Fleinhardt, as he understands that math is the language of human nature and can be used to solve some of life's biggest mysteries. Inspired by actual cases, the series depicts how the confluence of police work and mathematics provides unexpected revelations and answers to the most perplexing criminal questions.

NUMB3RS is produced by Scott Free Productions, in association with Paramount Network Television. Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Barry Schindel, Nick Falacci, Cheryl Heuton and David W. Zucker serve as executive producers.
