“THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT” RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR SEPT. 14-18

Colbert” Beat “Fallon” Last Week by +122%

For the week ending Friday, Sept. 18 (week #52 of the 2019-2020 broadcast year), in live plus 3-day lift, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT (airing from its new studio at the Ed Sullivan Theater) averaged an audience of 3.02 million viewers, beating “The Tonight Show” (1.36m) by +122% and doubling the adults 18-49 rating (0.4 versus 0.2). “Jimmy Kimmel Live” was in encores.

According to Nielsen “Most Current” ratings for the complete 2019-2020 television year, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT was first with 3.45 million viewers and adults 25-54 (0.6) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (0.4), while leading in adults 18-49 viewers (530k versus 479k for NBC and 421k for ABC).

Finally, for the week ending Sept. 18, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT was the #1 late night show on YouTube for views of current content (clips posted during the week). Clips of Colbert’s Monday night interview with Bob Woodward have been viewed 3 million times. Additionally, all four of Stephen’s monologues have amassed at least 2 million views on the platform.
