The NICK JR. ON CBS series for the 2005-06 season:

LAZYTOWN (E/I, TV-Y, 2-11) is set in a strange and wonderful village where 8-year-old Stephanie and her friends are caught between a charismatic, health-conscious superhero named Sportacus and lazy bad guy Robbie Rotten, who spends his time lounging around and eating junk food. The show was created in Iceland by Magnus Scheving, a professional athlete and aerobic champion. A mix of live action, puppets and CGI animation, LAZYTOWN is dedicated to making physical activity and healthy lifestyles for children entertaining. LAZYTOWN is a LazyTown Entertainment production.

GO, DIEGO, GO (E/I, TV-Y, 2-5) is a new action-adventure series based on Dora the Explorer's popular cousin, Diego Marquez. Eight-year-old Diego is a bilingual animal rescuer and nature expert who has the ability to talk to animals. He takes preschoolers on interactive high-stakes journeys inspired by the rich environments of Latin America and by the animals that make their homes in those habitats. Ten-year-old Jake Toranzo-Szymanski stars as the voice of Diego, and Academy Award nominee Rosie Perez is featured as the voice of Click the Camera. GO, DIEGO, GO was created and is executive-produced by Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh, the same team behind DORA THE EXPLORER. It is a Nick Jr. production.

THE BACKYARDIGANS (E/I, TV-Y, 2-5) are five high-spirited preschool friends who rely on their vivid imaginations to embark on amazing epic journeys filled with song, dance and excitement. In every episode, the backyard they share transforms into a different, fantastic, photo-real landscape. These landscapes serve as backdrops for completely original, story-driven musicals. The stories are propelled by richly authentic music (spanning a variety of genres) and cutting-edge 3-D dance choreography. THE BACKYARDIGANS is a co-production between Nick Jr. and Corus Entertainment's Nelvana.

DORA THE EXPLORER (E/I, TV-Y, 2-5), Nick Jr.'s successful original play-along animated adventure series, features a 7-year-old Latina heroine who lives inside a computer. Dora is proudly bilingual and uses her knowledge of Spanish to communicate with her friends, overcome obstacles and reach her goals. In each episode, Dora teaches viewers a Spanish word or phrase and asks them to use it to solve a problem. Dora and her friend Boots ultimately triumph and end her stories with a "We did it!" anthem. DORA THE EXPLORER is a Nick Jr. production.

LITTLE BILL (E/I, TV-Y, 2-11), an animated series created by Bill Cosby, based on his best-selling children's books, follows the adventures of an inquisitive, energetic and highly imaginative 5-year-old boy as he investigates his world. With the help of his loving family and friends, Little Bill explores the ordinary and extraordinary events that make up the daily life of a child -- from making friends to making lunch. Both the Little Bill character and program reflect the wisdom, outlook and humor of Bill Cosby. The show features the voices of Gregory Hines, Phylicia Rashad, Ruby Dee, Kathy Najimy and Cosby as Captain Brainstorm. LITTLE BILL is a Nick Jr. production.

BLUE'S CLUES (E/I, TV-Y, 2-5), Nick Jr.'s acclaimed signature show, challenges and empowers young children while making them laugh. In each episode, host Joe (Donovan Patton) invites young viewers into his computer-animated storybook world to help him and Blue, his energetic female puppy, solve the day's puzzles. BLUE'S CLUES continues to inspire acclaim for its unique interactivity, which has changed the way children watch television. The series continues to raise the bar in preschool television by exploring advanced subject matter, such as sign language, geography, physics, emotions and anatomy. BLUE'S CLUES is a Nick Jr. production.
