CBS WINS SUNDAY IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

"60 Minutes" Wins Time Period in Viewers and Key Demos and is the Night's Top Program in Viewers

  

The Penultimate Episode of "The Amazing Race 16" Sprints Toward Next Week's Finish Line, Winning its Time Period in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

 

CBS won Sunday in viewers and adults 25-54 behind time period-winning performances by 60 MINUTES and THE AMAZING RACE 16, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for May 2.

 

At 7:00 PM, 60 MINUTES was first in households (8.5/16), viewers (13.34m), adults 25-54 (3.3/10) and adults 18-49 (2.2/08).  60 MINUTES posted its best deliveries in these measures since April 11, 2010, and was the night's top program in viewers. 

 

At 8:00 PM, the penultimate episode of THE AMAZING RACE 16 was first in households (6.2/10), viewers (10.49m), adults 25-54 (4.1/11) and adults 18-49 (3.0/09).  RACE sprints to its finish line next Sunday (May 9).

 

At 10:00 PM, the season finale of COLD CASE was first in households (6.4/11) and viewers (10.07m), averaging a 3.1/08 in adults 18-49 and 2.2/06 in adults 18-49. Compared to its last first-run episode (on April 11, 2010), COLD CASE added +210,000 viewers (from 9.86m, +2%). 

 

For the night, CBS was first in households (6.8/11), viewers (10.88m) and adults 25-54 (3.3/09); the Network was second in adults 18-49 (2.4/07, -0.2 behind ABC).  CBS was first in viewers for the eighth consecutive week and first in adults 25-54 for the seventh time in eight weeks.
