CBS'S 2003-04 CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE

New Line-Up To Premiere On August 2

Kid Favorite "Little Bill" Returns To "Nick On CBS" Saturday Mornings

CBS and Nickelodeon will join forces for the fourth consecutive year to program NICK ON CBS, the Network's Saturday morning children's schedule. Popular children's program LITTLE BILL returns to NICK ON CBS after a one year hiatus.

NICK ON CBS regulars HEY ARNOLD! and THE WILD THORNBERRYS will change time periods starting on Saturday, Aug. 2. THE WILD THORNBERRYS will be broadcast from 7:00 to 7:30 AM, ET; HEY ARNOLD!, from 7:30 to 8:00 AM, ET.

DORA THE EXPLORER, CHALKZONE and the award-winning, landmark program BLUE'S CLUES return to the schedule in their same time period. DORA THE EXPLORER continues to be the number-one preschool show on commercial television while the NICK ON CBS kids block was first last season among children 2-5.

The NICK on CBS series for the 2003-04 season:

THE WILD THORNBERRYS, E/I, TVY-7, 12-year-old Eliza Thornberry (voiced by Lacey Chabert) has a magical secret: she can talk to animals! Traveling the world with her family, headed by dad Nigel (voiced by Tim Curry) and while making nature documentaries, Eliza learns the mysteries of the animal kingdom. Sharing her adventures are Donnie (voiced by Flea, of the Red Hot Chili Peppers), Eliza's adopted "wild child" brother, and her best friend, Darwin, a charming chimpanzee. They never know what to expect as their travels take them to exotic locales. THE WILD THORNBERRYS is a Klasky Csupo production.

HEY ARNOLD!, E/I, TVY-7, Arnold is a city kid whose problems (school bullies, crushes, best friends, and secret handshakes) are a lot like the problems of any other 4th-grader. The difference? Arnold has his own unique way of solving them, using his city savvy and instinctive sense of right and wrong. HEY ARNOLD! is a Nickelodeon production.

CHALKZONE, E/I, TV-Y, chronicles the adventures of Rudy Tabootie, a 10-year old boy who discovers a world beyond the chalk board, where all erased chalk drawings come to life. Luckily, with the help of his sidekick, Snap, and his best friend, Penny, Rudy's a pro at drawing himself out of trouble when they're on an adventure. Each half-hour episode of CHALKZONE features three cartoon shorts which vary in length. CHALKZONE is the first series to spin off from Nickelodeon's cartoon laboratory, Oh Yeah! Cartoons!, and is a Nicktoons production.

LITTLE BILL, E/I, TV-Y, an animated series created by Bill Cosby and based on his best-selling children's books, follows the adventures of an inquisitive, energetic and highly imaginative 5-year-old boy as his investigates his world. With the help of his loving family and friends, Little Bill explores the ordinary and extraordinary events that make up the daily life of a child -- from making friends to making lunch. Both the Little Bill character and program reflect the wisdom, outlook and humor of Bill Cosby. The show features the voices of Gregory Hines, Phylicia Rashad, Ruby Dee, Kathy Najimy and Cosby as "Captain Brainstorm." LITTLE BILL is a Nick Jr. production.

DORA THE EXPLORER, E/I, TV-Y, Nick Jr.'s successful original play-along, animated adventure series, features a 7-year-old Latino heroine who lives inside a computer. Dora is proudly bi-lingual and uses her knowledge of the Spanish language to communicate with her friends, overcome obstacles and reach her goals. In each episode, Dora teaches the viewers a Spanish word or phrase and asks them to use it to solve a problem. Dora and her friend Boots ultimately triumph and end her stories with a "We did it!" anthem. DORA THE EXPLORER is a Nick Jr. production.

BLUE'S CLUES, E/I, TV-Y, Nick Jr.'s acclaimed signature show challenges and empowers young children while making them laugh. In each episode, host Joe (Donovan Patton) invites young viewers into his computer-animated storybook world to help him and Blue, his energetic female puppy, solve the day's puzzles. BLUE'S CLUES continues to draw acclaim for its unique interactivity, which has changed the way kids watch television. The series continues to raise the bar in preschool television by exploring advanced subject matter such as sign language, geography, physics, emotions and anatomy. BLUE'S CLUES is a Nick Jr. production.
