Last Night, Stephen’s Live Post-State of the Union Show

Beat Closest Competition in Preliminary Ratings by +54%

For the week ending Friday, Jan. 31 (week #19 of the 2019-2020 broadcast season), in live plus 3-day lift, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT beat its closest competition (“Jimmy Kimmel Live”) by +71% in viewers (3.52m versus 2.06m). In viewers, THE LATE SHOW has won every first-run week this season.

With live plus 3-day and live plus 7-day ratings this season, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT delivers 3.69 million viewers, 0.7 in adults 25-54 and 0.4 in adults 18-49 – leading among all the late night programs in these measures. THE LATE SHOW leads second-place NBC (2.01m) by +84% and third-place ABC (1.95m) by +89%.

Also, last night a live post-State of the Union episode of THE LATE SHOW easily outpaced its competition, beating “Jimmy Kimmel Live” by +54% (2.68m versus 1.74m) and “The Tonight Show” by +91% (versus 1.40m).
