“THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT” RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR APRIL 27-MAY 1

For the week ending Friday, May 1 (week #32 of the 2019-2020 broadcast season), in live plus 3-day lift, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT averaged an audience of 3.31 million viewers taking the week by +49% over the closest competitor (versus 2.22m).

According to Nielsen “Most Current” ratings for the season to date, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT has delivered a leading 3.62 million viewers, 0.7 in adults 25-54 and 0.4 (tie) in adults 18-49, while leading in adults 18-49 viewers (561k versus 528k for NBC).

Later in the week, THE LATE SHOW returned to the Ed Sullivan Theater for the Friday, May 1 show with a completely animated monologue, which found Colbert back behind his desk and bandleader Jon Batiste at home behind his piano, albeit in cartoon form.
