“THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT” RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR SEPT. 28-OCT. 2

For the week ending Sunday, Oct. 4 (week #2 of the 2020-2021 broadcast season), in live plus 3-day lift, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT (airing from its new studio at the Ed Sullivan Theater) averaged an audience of 2.93 million viewers, beating “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (1.74m) by +68% and “The Tonight Show” (1.48m) by +98%.

Note: On Tuesday, Sept. 29, the show was live following the presidential debate, delivering 3.69 million viewers (with over 5.2 million views of Stephen’s monologue on YouTube). THE LATE SHOW also produced a show at the last minute on Friday, Oct. 2 featuring CBS News’ Dr. Jon LaPook and John Dickerson as the news broke that President Trump had been taken to Walter Reed Medical Center.
