“THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT” RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR OCT. 5-9

For the week ending Friday, Oct. 9 (week #3 of the 2020-2021 broadcast season), in live plus 3-day lift, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT (airing from its new studio at the Ed Sullivan Theater) averaged an audience of 3.02 million viewers, beating “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (1.60m) by +89% and “The Tonight Show” (1.52m) by +99%.

NOTE: Wednesday Oct. 7’s live LATE SHOW, which aired after the vice presidential debate, delivered 3.51 million viewers and posted the show’s largest Wednesday 3-day audience since March 11.

Season-to-date, THE LATE SHOW is first in viewers (2.88m), leading “Jimmy Kimmel Live” by +74% (versus 1.66m) and “The Tonight Show” by +96% (versus 1.47m).

Finally, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT was the #1 late night show on YouTube for views of current content last week (clips posted during the week) thanks, in part, to the performance of clips from Wednesday night’s live broadcast. Colbert’s live monologue following the vice presidential debate on Oct. 7 drew over 2.6 million views on the platform, while clips of his live interview with Mayor Pete Buttigieg have drawn two million views on YouTube.
