“THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT” RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR NOV. 16-20

Last Night’s Interview with Former President Obama Attracted 3.5 Million Viewers

THE LATE SHOW’S Largest Audience in Over One Year

For the week ending Friday, Nov. 20 (week #9 of the 2020-2021 broadcast season), in live plus 3-day lift, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT (airing from its new studio at The Ed Sullivan Theater) averaged an audience of 3.18 million viewers, beating “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (1.99m) by +60% and “The Tonight Show” (1.53m) by +108%.

Season-to-date, THE LATE SHOW is first in viewers (3.02m), leading “Jimmy Kimmel Live” by +71% (versus 1.77m) and “The Tonight Show” by +101% (versus 1.50m). THE LATE SHOW is also leading both competitors’ late night offerings in adults 18-49 viewers (452,000 for COLBERT vs. Kimmel’s 386,000 and Fallon’s 348,000).

Finally, last night Stephen’s interview with former president Barack Obama reached an impressive 3.49 million viewers, THE LATE SHOW’s largest audience since Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019.
