THE ADMINISTRATION MAY CHANGE, BUT “THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT” CONTINUED TO DOMINATE BEATING COMBINED COMPETITION LAST WEEK

For the week ending Friday, Jan. 15 (week #17 of the 2020-2021 broadcast season), in live plus 3-day lift, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT averaged an audience of 3.28 million viewers, beating the combined viewership of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (1.78m, +84%) and “The Tonight Show” (1.34m, +145%) by +5%. This was THE LATE SHOW’s third-largest live plus 3-day weekly audience this season (behind the week ending Nov. 27, 2020 and the week ending Jan. 8).

Season-to-date, THE LATE SHOW is first in viewers (3.16m), leading “Jimmy Kimmel Live” by +78% (versus 1.78m) and “The Tonight Show” by +105% (versus 1.54m). THE LATE SHOW is also leading both competitors’ late night offerings in adults 25-54 (0.5 versus 0.4) and adults 18-49 (0.4 versus 0.3).

Finally, for the week ending Jan. 15, THE LATE SHOW was once again the #1 late night show on YouTube for views of current content (clips posted during the week), topping the closest competition by over 20 million views. Colbert’s monologues drew an average of 4.4 million views each night last week while his Thursday, Jan. 14 interview with Senator Bernie Sanders amassed 4.3 million views on YouTube.
