FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEEK, “NCIS” IS TOP PRIMETIME PROGRAM, “YOUNG SHELDON” IS TOP COMEDY, AND “60 MINUTES” IS TOP PRIMETIME NEWS PROGRAM

CBS Ratings Highlights for the Week Ending May 9

According to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sunday, May 9 (week 33 of the 2020-2021 broadcast season), CBS finished first with 4.82 million viewers.

On Monday, THE NEIGHBORHOOD (5.19m) +300,000 viewers (from 4.89m, +6%) compared to last week. THE NEIGHBORHOOD posted its largest audience since March 15, 2021. At 10:00 pm, BULL was first in viewers (5.52m), adults 25-54 (0.8/05) and adults 18-49 (0.5/04).   Compared to last week, BULL was up +14% in adults 25-54 (from 0.7/04), even in adults 18-49 and added +500,000 viewers (from 5.02m, +10%). BULL posted its largest audience since January 4.

Tuesday, CBS was first in viewers (7.74m), adults 25-54 (1.1/06) and adults 18-49 (0.7/05). NCIS was first in viewers (9.68m), adults 25-54 (1.3/07) and adults 18-49 (0.8/06).  Compared to last week, NCIS was up +18% in adults 25-54 (from 1.1/06), +33% in adults 18-49 (from 0.6/04) and added +1.12m viewers (from 8.56m, +13%). NCIS was the week’s #1 program in viewers, while finishing first for the night in adults 25-54 and tied for #1 with FBI in adults 18-49. At 9:00 PM, FBI was first in viewers (8.06m), adults 25-54 (1.2/06) and adults 18-49 (0.8/05). Compared to last week, FBI was up +9% in adults 25-54 (from 1.1/06), +14% in adults 18-49 (from 0.7/05) and added +490,000 viewers (from 7.57m, +6%). FBI: MOST WANTED at 10:00 pm was first in viewers (5.49m), adults 25-54 (0.8/05) and adults 18-49 (0.5/04).  

Thursday, CBS was first in viewers (4.33m). YOUNG SHELDON (8:00-8:31 PM) topped the week’s comedies in viewers (6.64m) and THE UNITED STATES OF AL (8:31-9:01 PM) was first in its half hour in viewers (4.80m). MOM (9:01-9:30 PM) was also first in viewers (5.29m). At 9:30 PM, B-POSITIVE was second in viewers (4.13m) with its largest audience since March 11, 2021.

Friday, CBS was first in viewers (4.66m) for the 16th consecutive Friday with original dramas this season. MAGNUM P.I. was first in viewers (5.00m) and BLUE BLOODS was first for the night with 5.87 million viewers.

Saturday, 48 HOURS was first for the night in viewers (2.85m) with its largest audience since April 10, 2021.

On Sunday, CBS was first in viewers (6.39m) for the 15th Sunday in 16-weeks. 60 MINUTES was the week’s top primetime news program in viewers (7.78m) and THE EQUALIZER was the night’s top scripted series with 7.22 million viewers. NCIS: LOS ANGELES at 9:00 PM delivered 5.60m viewers and NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was first with 4.96m viewers, its largest audience since February 28, 2021.
