At the age of 4, Izzy G! knew she wanted to be an actor, but her parents didn’t allow her to pursue it until she was 8 – not because they didn’t approve (her mother is an actress, and her father is a director) – but because they wanted to make sure she understood the commitment it takes and that every project you do is someone’s “baby” and deserves all you can give to it.
She studied acting with her parents and began booking smaller roles, such as Little Mudlark Girl in “The Highwaymen” opposite Woody Harrelson and Kevin Costner. Soon, she booked her dream job, the titular role of AJ in Michael Patrick King’s “AJ and the Queen” opposite RuPaul.
In addition to acting, G! loves volleyball, music, singing, cooking, painting and drawing. Born and raised a vegan, she is a huge animal rescue and welfare supporter and advocates for “Adopt, Don’t Shop” animal rescue and no-kill animal shelters with spay and neuter programs, as well as an end to animal brutality, equality for all and marine life conservation.
G! was born August 5 in Los Angeles and was raised in New Orleans, the city that still holds her heart. Currently, she resides in both cities. Follow her on Instagram @mizzizzyg.
