An alumna of Second City Mainstage in Chicago and Detroit, Maribeth Monroe has appeared in several award-winning and critically acclaimed comedies in recent years, including “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “The Good Place” and “The Big Bang Theory,” on the Network. She is perhaps best known for her role as Alice Murphy on Comedy Central’s “Workaholics.”
Monroe’s additional television credits include “The Brink,” “Parks & Recreation,” “Modern Family” and “Key & Peele.” Her feature film credits include “Downsizing,” “Keeping Up with the Joneses” and “Jumanji.”
Born and raised in Fraiser, Mich., Monroe found her first comedy home at Second City Detroit and then moved on to the Second City Chicago Mainstage.
Currently, Monroe resides in Los Angeles and continues to perform at Second City in Los Angeles with her longtime comedy group, Mama’s Boy.
