HARRY, MEGHAN AND OPRAH SCORED ALMOST 18 MILLION VIEWERS TO HELP DRIVE CBS TO SEVENTH-STRAIGHT WEEKLY WIN

NETWORK INCREASES VIEWER LEAD FOR SEASON to +750,000

Ratings Highlights for the week ending MARCH 7

According to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sunday, March 7 (week 24 of the 2020-2021 broadcast season), CBS finished first for the seventh consecutive week with 6.02 million viewers and the special OPRAH WITH MEGHAN AND HARRY (#1 program), 60 MINUTES (#1 primetime news show and #2 program), NCIS (#1 drama) and YOUNG SHELDON (#1 comedy) were the week’s top broadcasts in their respective categories. With this week’s big numbers, the Network has expanded its season-to-date viewer lead to +750,000 viewers over its closest competitor.

On Tuesday, CBS was first in viewers (7.57m), with NCIS (9.60m) as the night’s top program, and FBI second (7.36m). FBI: MOST WANTED rounded out the winning night with 5.73 million viewers.

On Wednesday, CBS was first in viewers (3.75m) behind TOUGH AS NAILS (3.47m), SEAL TEAM (a time period winning 4.16m) and S.W.A.T. (also a time period winning 3.62m).

On Thursday, the Network took the night with 4.82 million viewers as YOUNG SHELDON was the night’s top program and the week’s top comedy with 7.71 million viewers. MOM was first in viewers (5.28m) and new hit drama CLARICE was first in viewers (3.48m) as well.

On Friday, CBS was first in viewers (5.48m) for 10th consecutive first-run week as MACGYVER was second in viewers (4.50m), MAGNUM P.I. was first (5.63m) and BLUE BLOODS topped the night with 6.30 million fans.

On Saturday, CBS was first in viewers (2.44m) behind encores at 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM and a first-run 48 HOURS that was first for the night in viewers (2.66m) for the sixth consecutive airing.

Sunday, CBS was first in viewers (12.88m, first for seventh consecutive week), adults 25-54 (2.5/12) and adults 18-49 (1.7/11). At 7:00 PM, 60 MINUTES was first in viewers (10.04m), adults 25-54 (1.3/07) and adults 18-49 (0.8/06). Compared to last week, 60 MINUTES was up +30% in adults 25-54 (from 1.0/05), +33% in adults 18-49 (from 0.6/04) and added +1.91 million viewers (from 8.13m, +24%). The 2-hour OPRAH WITH MEGHAN AND HARRY: A CBS PRIMETIME SPECIAL was first in viewers (17.81m), adults 25-54 (3.8/17) and adults 18-49 (2.7/15). CBS posted the time period’s best non-sports deliveries in these measures since Jan. 26, 2020 (GRAMMY AWARDS). This was also the largest audience for a primetime entertainment special since Feb. 9, 2020’s Academy Awards on ABC. At 10:00 PM, an encore THE EQUALIZER was first in viewers (5.87m), adults 25-54 (1.0/05) and adults 18-49 (0.7/05).
