LET’S MAKE A DEAL, with host Wayne Brady, is offering traders the opportunity to walk away with $500,000 in cash as the show celebrates its 500th episode on Monday, March 26 on the CBS Television Network. Each day, for two full weeks, one lucky trader can earn the opportunity to bargain with Brady for a jackpot prize of $50,000. The “Super Deal” comes in addition to the show's daily ultimate prize bonanza – the Big Deal of the Day.
Since premiering in 2009, LET'S MAKE A DEAL has welcomed more than 120,000 excited traders, who have decked themselves out in outlandish costumes hoping to catch the eye of host and TV's biggest dealer, Wayne Brady. Joined by announcer Jonathan Mangum, model Tiffany Coyne, and music director Cat Gray, each day Brady presides over TV's most outrageous swap meet, presenting deals with comedy and musical sketches that keep viewers coming back for more. To date, the show has presented approximately 5,000 deals, during which traders can keep what they've won or opt for other choices. With nearly 1,000 cars offered as prizes thus far, contestants frequently choose to “trade up,” in the hope of winning one, but must be careful to avoid the show's trademark “Zonks,” those funny and cleverly-devised prizes that tell a dealer they definitely made the wrong choice.
During the show's landmark 500th episode, contestants will have the opportunity to win the show's biggest array of prizes, including cars from Mazda, Nissan, Toyota and Fiat, an exclusive trip to New York to attend the US Open Tennis Championships and a dream vacation to Australia.
The “Super Deal,” which will be offered each day for two weeks, gives traders who win the “Big Deal of the Day” the opportunity to choose between three envelopes – Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald. Inside each envelope is a cash amount of $1,000, $2,000 or $50,000. If the trader chooses the $50,000 envelope, they walk away with the cash plus their “Big Deal of the Day.”
LET’S MAKE A DEAL is produced by FremantleMedia North America. Mike Richards (“The Price is Right”) and Dan Funk serve as executive producers. The one-hour show is broadcast weekdays (check local listings) on the CBS Television Network.
