Alex Tarrant has made the seamless transition from New Zealand and British entertainment to the United States. In addition to NCIS: HAWAI’I, he will appear in the upcoming “Lord of the Rings” series for Amazon.
Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, Tarrant is of Maori, Samoan and Niuean descent. He graduated from New Zealand’s prestigious drama school Te Kura Toi Whakaari o Aoteraroa in 2012. Since then, he has graced the New Zealand and international stage and screen in series such as “When We Go to War,” “Tatau” and “Filthy Rich,” all for the BBC, and “800 Words” and “Seachange” in Australia. He was cast in his first feature, “The Other Side of Heaven,” in 2018, which he followed up with the Taika Waititi produced “Night Raiders.”
Tarrant enjoys gaming, making organite and he recently began surfing, horseback riding and riding motor bikes. His birthday is May 1. He can be followed on Instagram @Aggytarant.
