EMMY AWARD WINNER BOB BARKER HOSTS THE 35TH SEASON PREMIERE OF "THE PRICE IS RIGHT," MONDAY, SEPT. 18 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

THE PRICE IS RIGHT, television's longest-running game show, will begin its 35th season on Monday, Sept. 18 (11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT) on the CBS Television Network. The show, hosted by 17-time Emmy Award winner Bob Barker, premiered on CBS September 4, 1972. The season premiere will include opportunities for contestants to win some of the most valuable cars ever given away in the series' history. Other highlights of the upcoming season include one contestant who wins the most expensive prize ever offered on THE PRICE IS RIGHT and later in the year, a celebration of Bob Barker's 50th anniversary in show business. "Bob Barker is a television icon and, throughout his illustrious career, he has brought great joy to his fans of all ages, from all walks of life," said Barbara Bloom, Senior Vice President, Daytime Programs, CBS. "We are thrilled to be airing this landmark 35th season of THE PRICE IS RIGHT during Bob's 50th year in show business and we're very excited about what the coming season holds." Barker has won a total of 17 Emmy Awards -- 13 as TV host (more than any other performer), three as Executive Producer of THE PRICE IS RIGHT and the Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award for Daytime Television in 1999. Barker was installed into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in June 2004. THE PRICE IS RIGHT is now in its 35th year and is television's longest-running game show. It is a Mark Goodson Production, in association with FremantleMedia, North America, Inc.
