NEW YORK – March 22, 2022 – Watch magazine’s March/April issue, available on newsstands and digitally now, features covers with veteran actor Gary Cole, the newest leader on CBS’ 19th-season juggernaut series NCIS; hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood of THE TALK, CBS’ 12th-season Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show; and Academy Award nominees Chiwetel Ejiofor and Naomie Harris, stars of the upcoming SHOWTIME drama series THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH.

Also in this edition: a Q&A with Kate Abdo, studio host of CBS Sports’ soccer coverage, including the UEFA Champions League and the men’s Concacaf World Cup Qualifying; a personal tribute to the legendary late actress Betty White by Jim Colucci, author of the New York Times bestselling book Golden Girls Forever: An Unauthorized Look Behind the Lanai; intel on all things spring in style and makeup trends – and much more!

In their fabulously paradoxical Watch cover shoot photographed by Art Streiber, the communicative hosts of the CBS Original Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show THE TALK, also available on Paramount+, don chic current fashions styled by Cara Giannini, while playfully posing with a CBS microphone from the mid-1900s and additional vintage communication devices like walkie-talkies, pay phones, a CB and a canary-yellow dial-phone. Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood chat with writer Mara Reinstein about their shared morning ritual, their dream guests and goals for their 12th-season show, what they each bring to the table and how they keep lively and civil discussions from turning divisive. They also delight in having such superb chemistry together, despite the fact that all but Underwood, now in her 11th season, became hosts within the past 14 months.

The widely known and respected veteran actor Gary Cole, who joined the phenomenally popular 19th-season CBS Original series NCIS this past fall, which also streams on Paramount+, was photographed by Shayan Asgharnia in a warm modern home in Southern California and styled by Ashley Zohar in an assortment of sporty suits. His toy Australian shepherd, Shadow, appears alongside him in a couple of the shots. Speaking to writer David Hochman, Cole shares why he doesn’t approach acting differently if he’s in a comedy versus a drama, the hook that enables him to immerse himself in the lead role of NCIS Special Agent Alden Parker, and the benefits of having so many longtime crew members on the show. Also, he sets the record straight regarding whether he appeared as an extra in “The Soup Nazi” episode of “Seinfeld.”

Academy Award nominees Chiwetel Ejiofor and Naomie Harris star in the new SHOWTIME drama series THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH, premiering Sunday, April 24. The show is produced by CBS Studios and was inspired by the Walter Tevis novel and the iconic David Bowie film of the same name. Ejiofor plays a new alien character who arrives on Earth and must confront his past to determine the future of our planet. Harris plays a brilliant scientist and engineer who must overcome her own demons to have a chance at saving two worlds. The two leads were interviewed by Oliver Jones, as were the series’ executive producers, Jenny Lumet and Alex Kurtzman. Ejiofor and Harris discuss what drew them to this series despite their background as feature film stars, their two very different approaches to acting, how science fiction can allow us the distance to see things in the real world as they really are, how Harris’ character is the relatable emotional anchor of the show, and how the late Bowie was a guiding light over the whole project.

Multilingual British native Kate Abdo, studio host of CBS Sports’ soccer coverage, which streams live on Paramount+ with select games airing on the CBS Television Network and CBS Sports Network, talks to writer Eric Adelson about how she got her unexpected on-air start covering sports at a German TV station, what she loves about broadcasting on live TV, her favorite live soccer moment she’s covered, exciting matches and moments coming up in the 2022 season, how CBS utilizes her foreign language skills and how CBS’ soccer coverage stands apart from all the rest.

Jim Colucci, author of the New York Times bestselling book Golden Girls Forever: An Unauthorized Look Behind the Lanai, pens a loving tribute to the legendary actress Betty White, who died last December. Among the details of her pioneering 80-year career, he shares one of his most cherished memories: of meeting her in her Brentwood, Calif. home years ago.
