“Whistleblower” Posts Series’ Best Audience Delivery

WHISTLEBLOWER was Friday’s #1 broadcast at 8:00 PM in viewers and adults 25-54 (tied with ABC), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 31. WHISTLEBLOWER also posted the series’ best viewer delivery for the second consecutive week and matched its best adults 25-54 rating.
Friday’s broadcast delivered 4.14 million viewers and a 0.7/04 with adults 25-54. WHISTLEBLOWER added +210,000 viewers when compared to the season premiere a week earlier (from 3.93m, +5%).
Hosted by Alex Ferrer, WHISTLEBLOWER features investigations into the real-life David vs. Goliath stories of heroic people who put everything on the line to stop illegal and dangerous wrongdoing, often when major corporations or individuals rip off the government and U.S. taxpayers. The cases examined this season represent potential fraud totaling more than $2 billion. The series takes viewers behind the scenes as these unsung heroes step up and risk everything to expose unethical greed and activities as they try to protect those who are most vulnerable to fraudulent scams.
Friday’s broadcast featured an investigation into allegations of tax fraud and money laundering by members of the Kingston Clan, a secretive polygamous sect. The report included interviews with Bryan and Mary Nelson, who revealed they tipped off the FBI to wrongdoing that led to an indictment against several individuals of the Kingston sect, who the government alleges were responsible for a $511 million tax fraud scheme.
