NEW YORK, NY – April 30, 2013 – CBS Interactive, the world’s largest publisher of premium content and a perennial top 10 Web property, today announced eight new programming initiatives to complement the more than 88 premium series and 80 specials that the company produces and distributes across its network of properties, including CBS.com, CBSSports.com, CBSNews.com, CNET and GameSpot brands.

 

CBS Interactive President Jim Lanzone and Chief Client Officer David Morris unveiled the new programming initiatives during the company’s presentation at the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Digital Content NewFronts. The new initiatives reflect CBS Interactive’s unique position of developing and delivering broadcast-quality programming across platforms at a scale unmatched by any other online publisher or ad network.

A selection of CBS Interactive’s 25 premium brands, which reach more than 270 million unique visitors globally each month, were highlighted in the presentation, including: CNET, the biggest tech news and reviews site in the world; CBS.com, the #1 network TV site based on viewers for more than four years straight;1 CBSNews.com, the #1 network news brand on Twitter; CBSSports.com, host of the #1 live-streamed sports event2 and most social TV event in history; and GameSpot, the #1 gaming information site and a leader in the burgeoning eSports category.3
