PREVIEW CLIP 1:WHOOPI GOLDBERG ON WORKING WITH PATTI LABELLE AND THE IMPORTANCE OF CHRISTMAS MOVIES

For Screening/Broadcast Only: https://workspace.cimediacloud.com/r/KVdJph5eViMD

John Cusimano: How did you hook up with Patti LaBelle to begin with, and how did you get her to do this movie?

Whoopi Goldberg: Well, she was in this movie when they brought us in to be the producers. I said, ‘What is it?’ and they said it was a Christmas movie and that was a yes instantly. And then they said that it was going to star Patti LaBelle, and I said, ‘Beyond yes. I don’t care who else you put in it...she doesn’t have to do anything, she can just stand there, and I’ll do it.’ For me, Christmas movies are important because I feel like they can shake the bad out of you, they can shake the crap out of you. A good Christmas movie, you start watching it and it doesn’t really matter what’s happening as long as it’s Christmas, you’re back. You’re up and with it...for that hour and a half or whatever, you get to just split and just go have a holiday movie. I love them, I could watch holiday movies all the time because they make me happy.

Rachael Ray: Whoop, I just got back from Ukraine for my third time, and I watched Elf all night long in my room on my little iPad so I could giggle and get my head back and stop crying. I just watched Elf over and over and over, I just kept hitting it.

Whoopi Goldberg: Listen, I say to people all the time, when it’s not the holidays, I say, ‘Santa! I know him!’ and people go, ‘What the hell?’ You know, because it just makes me happy.

PREVIEW CLIP 2: RACHAEL CALLS WHOOPI GOLDBERG'S NEW MOVIE "TILL" HER "FAVORITE OF THE YEAR, NO QUESTION"

For Screening/Broadcast Only: https://workspace.cimediacloud.com/r/KVdJph5eViMD

Rachael Ray: Till is my favorite movie of the year without question. The casting in this film is incredible.

John Cusimano: It’s such a tough but important story. I think it took you a few years to even get this thing made?

Whoopi Goldberg: Yeah, it’s crazy. It took the man who really worked on it first 21 years to get it made, because people would say, ‘Well, nobody wants to see it, it’s too scary, it’s too rough, it’s too harsh.’ But the film that Chinonye Chukwu, our director, made is...a film for everyone. That people, 11-year-olds can see, that old people, white people, black people, everybody can see this movie because it’s a movie about the love between a mother and a son.
