NEW YORK, NY – September 5th, 2012 –CBS Television Distribution’s two-time Emmy® Award-winning RACHAEL RAY kicks offits premiere weekon September 17th with a visit from the First Lady Michelle Obama. In a day of firsts, Rachael will give the First Lady the first tour of her new daytime home and state of the art kitchen. Season 7 will welcome top celebrities to the new kitchen table, as well as regular visits from Rachael’s favorite contributors including Buddy Valastro from TLC’s “Cake Boss,” stylist Gretta Monahan, organization expert Peter Walsh and DIY pro Carter Oosterhouse.  

The new set holds true to Rachael’s down to earth personality, while adding a relaxed-chic style that’s highlighted by the exposed brick walls, reclaimed wood table and countertops as well as some pieces that mirror Rachael’s own home in the Adirondacks. Rachael’s iconic kitchen table, albeit new, will remain as the setting for her celebrity interviews and the fully functioning elevator is another touch of flair brought from the old studio. To spice up the cooking segments, the prep kitchen has been relocated onto the set and will be covered by opaque plexi panels that turn clear, on command, exposing all of the excitement and behind-the-scenes cooking taking place. The kitchen’s is equipped with brand new state-of-the-art GE appliances. 

More of RACHAEL RAY’s favorites will grace the brand-new set throughout season 7 with confirmed guests Fergie, Zooey Deschanel, Kevin and Danielle Jonas, Jeff Probst, Jamie Lee Curtis, Wyclef Jean, Lucy Liu, Mindy Kaling, Valerie Bertinelli, Tyra Banks, Emeril and Donnie Wahlberg.

Monday, September 17th (Season 7 Premiere)
Guest First Lady Michelle Obama answers viewer questions in a round of “Presidential Pop the Question,” gets a tour of our brand-new set and participates in a “Fitness Face-Off” with Rachael.

Tuesday, September 18th
Guy Fieri joins Rachael to celebrate National Cheeseburger day. Guy will make The Ringer Burger and Vegas Fries. Then, Jamie Lee Curtis will join Rach at the kitchen table to discuss her new book My Brave Year of Firsts.

Wednesday, September 19th
The “Inside Show” kicks off by revealing what’s in Rachael’s freezer. Then, get a look inside of Joy Behar’s purse, Susan Lucci’s closet and Wyclef Jean’s fridge.

Thursday, September 20th
Fergie stops by to be the Rachael Ray show stylist for a day and she’s helping with multiple makeovers.

Friday, September 21st
Season 7 introduces“Casual Fridays” and it’s all about casual food, fashion and entertaining tips, every Friday, all season long. And it all starts with talk show host Jeff Probst.
