New York, NY - September 22, 2008 - INSIDE EDITION finds Miladin Kovacevic, the U.S. fugitive wanted for beating a New York college student into a coma, laughing and hanging out with friends in Vrbas, Serbia after he fled authorities and trial in the U.S.

The Footage also shows Kovacevic working out with his new teammates, running around the track and participating in sprints and other conditioning exercises.

According to police, in May 2008, the 21-year-old Kovacevic, who is 6'3 and 280 lbs, and two friends repeatedly kicked Binghamton University student Bryan Steinhauer, who weighs130 lbs, in the head and chest during a bar brawl. Steinhauer is currently being treated for a fractured skull and brain trauma that left him in a coma after the beating.

Kovacevic, who has been recruited to play for the Serbian basketball team K.K. Vrbas, refused to speak with INSIDE EDITION and made several attempts to hide his face from their cameras.

INSIDE EDITION caught up with U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton, who recently visited Steinhauer and has requested all corporate sponsors of the Serbian Basketball League pull their support if Kovacevic is allowed to play.

Clinton: "The Serbian government should return him so he can stand trial and be held accountable...As a mother, reading about it was enough but seeing the impact the extraordinary, brutal beating inflicted has had on this man was beyond words."
