JEOPARDY!’ DONATES $268,701 TO HEALTHCORPS AS

DR. MEHMET OZ WRAPS UP STINT AS GUEST HOST

Aaron Rodgers to Host Two Weeks of Shows Starting April 5th

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (April 2, 2021) – As Dr. Mehmet Oz’s tenure as guest host of JEOPARDY! comes to a close, a donation of $268,701 will be made to HealthCorps, a national 501c3 that has addressed health inequity by educating and empowering teens – encouraging them to become change agents within their family, their school and their neighborhood. The organization strives to strengthen teens with innovative approaches to health and wellness, providing today’s youth with the tools to become more physically and mentally resilient through educational programming, leadership experience and service learning.

The amount donated equals the cumulative winnings of the contestants who competed during the two weeks Dr. Oz served as guest host.

So far, the total funds donated to charity because of the guest hosts’ appearances is $499,205.

Starting on Monday, April 5th, Green Bay Packers quarterback and 3-time MVP (2011, 2014 and 2020) Aaron Rodgers will take his turn reading clues from behind the lectern for two weeks. JEOPARDY! will match the cumulative winnings of all the contestants competing during his appearance for a donation to The North Valley Community Foundation, a hub for social change in the North Valley where Rodgers is originally from.

This year, Rodgers donated $1 million to start the Aaron Rodgers Small-Business COVID-19 Fund, which issued grants to help 80 locally owned small restaurants and retail establishments that are struggling during the pandemic. The grant recipients received help with rent, utilities, and payroll. The donation from
JEOPARDY! will help with a second round of grants.

Rodgers is a Super Bowl MVP and nine-time NFL Pro Bowl selection. Over the course of his career Rodgers has established himself as one of the NFL’s leading quarterbacks. He is also a Celebrity JEOPARDY! champion, after competing on the program in 2015.
