PRINCESS DIANA'S BROTHER CHARLES, 9th EARL SPENCER: "I'VE STILL GOT A PIECE OF [DIANA'S] WEDDING CAKE"

May 12, 2010 (Los Angeles, CA) -- ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT's SAMANTHA HARRIS sat down exclusively with Princess Diana's brother Charles, Earl Spencer in London for a new interview to air tonight, May 12th and tomorrow, May 13th.

ET was with Charles, Earl Spencer as he visited St. Paul's Cathedral for the first time since Princess Diana's wedding in July of 1981. "It's extraordinary to see it again," he says. "I haven't been here since the wedding day."He goes on to recall memories of that day, "The first moment of the day I remember was going to see Diana as she was getting ready in her wedding dress and her make-up. Before that she was just my big sister, but then when I walked in, I thought, my goodness, they've transformed her into a very beautiful woman. She did become a sort of fairy tale princess that day."

Charles, Earl Spencer tells ET that he was able to spend some alone time with his sister despite the media attention of the day, "In the evening we all went to a semi-private party and she was there and seemed incredibly relaxed and happy. I just remember she had a cracking headache because she wasn't used to wearing a tiara all morning."

Did he keep any souvenir of the momentous occasion? "I've still got a piece of her wedding cake. It's in a box with her name on it. That's the only sort of souvenir I have of that day. And a lot of memories. It was such a happy day. It was almost like she was being handed over to the world that day."
