New York City declares September 14th “The Rachael Ray Show Day”

NEW YORK, NY – September 10, 2015 – CBS Television Distribution’s Emmy® Award-winning talk show RACHAEL RAY kicks off its 10th season on Monday, September 14, with a surprise party to celebrate the beginning of Rachael’s milestone year. During the show, Rachael will be honored with a proclamation by Mayor Bill de Blasio, officially declaring September 14 “The Rachael Ray Show Day” in New York City. The proclamation is in recognition of RACHAEL RAY making NYC its home for the last ten years, and of the way Rachael has helped New Yorkers – and viewers everywhere – think about food. Every element of the show is a surprise to Rachael, including the identity of the celebrity guests who will guide her through the day’s events.

Two inspiring season-long initiatives will also launch during the show’s first weeks: Make-A-Payment Monday will connect Rach with deserving families and start their week off with a surprise payment on one of their outstanding bills. And, wishes big and small will be granted on “Wish Wednesdays” throughout the season.

Many of RACHAEL RAY’s favorite celebrity guests will join the show throughout the season, with confirmed guests Heidi Klum, Mindy Kaling, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Alba, Carol Burnett, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Steve Harvey, Dr. Phil McGraw, David Muir, Michael Strahan, Tom Selleck, and Whoopi Goldberg.

Guests and programming for the premiere week of September 14th include:

•  A surprise party to celebrate Rachael’s 10th anniversary season (will air Monday, 9/14)

•  Mindy Kaling hangs with Rach (will air Tuesday, 9/15)

•  Dr. Phil McGraw and Rachael “take it to the streets” and play tennis outside the studio, and the first “Wish Wednesday” of the season is granted (will air Wednesday, 9/16)

•  Carol Burnett tells the stories behind some of the most iconic moments from her own show, and Dr. Travis Stork hangs with Rachael (will air Thursday, 9/17)

•  Heidi Klum orchestrates a dramatic makeover, and Brooklyn Nets coach Lionel Hollins is in the studio with Dr. Ian Smith to check on his weight-loss progress (will air Friday, 9/18)
