Rachael Pulls off a Huge Hour of Surprises for Fans and Celebrity Friends Alike, Including “Biggest Loser” Trainer Bob Harper



NEW YORK, NY – September 7, 2017 – CBS Television Distribution’s Emmy® Award-winning talk show RACHAEL RAY kicks off its 12th season on Tuesday, September 12. For the season premiere, Rachael will debut her brand-new set kitchen, designed by HGTV’s “Cousins,” Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri. The updated kitchen features new design elements across the space, including an updated stainless steel kitchen island, vibrant colored tiles, unique wall décor, and a new kitchen table.


The unveiling of the new set kitchen marks just one of the surprises in store that day. Rachael is also surprising viewers at home, the studio audience, and celebrity friends, including “Biggest Loser” trainer Bob Harper.


In addition to the premiere week programming detailed below, many of the show’s favorite celebrity guests will join Rachael this fall, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Julianne Moore, Sofia Vergara, Eva Longoria, Sterling K. Brown, Dr. Oz, Denis Leary, Donnie Wahlberg, and more. Plus, this November, RACHAEL RAY will celebrate its 2000th episode.


Guests and programming for the premiere week of September 11th include:


  • Monday, September 11: Rachael turns to the show's viewers for their verdict on new trends in food, beauty and design, including a busy mom of five who tries her hand cooking with an Instant Pot, and two viewers test products that could make users look 10 pounds thinner.


  • Tuesday, September 12: Rachael’s unveiling her brand-new set kitchen – and celebrating with the show’s biggest hour of surprises yet. “Biggest Loser” trainer Bob Harper is reunited with a long-lost mentor, Chef Emeril Lagasse surprises his biggest fan with a life-changing trip to New Orleans, and Rachael treats her studio audience to one of the show’s biggest trip giveaways ever.


  • Wednesday, September 13: Rachael and her co-host for the day, “DailyMailTV” host Jesse Palmer, chat with Julianne Hough about what’s next for her after “Dancing with the Stars.”


  • Thursday, September 14: Over the years, chicken dinners have been some of Rachael’s most-downloaded recipes on the show – so she’s dedicating a full hour to the dish. She and her co-host, Chef Curtis Stone, get back to basics with a lesson in three basic chicken dishes.


  • Friday, September 15: Leading up to Sunday’s Primetime Emmy® Awards, “Entertainment Tonight” host Kevin Frazier breaks down this season’s biggest awards races. Plus, “The Chew’s” Clinton Kelly serves up snacks to enjoy while watching the ceremony, and pulls off a makeover for a woman who hasn’t cut her hair in eight years.
