Drew: I just want to take my daughter to the Eras movie that came out in the theaters, the concert and everyone in the theater was dressed up and dancing around and it was not your garden variety movie going experience. There’s something about this human being that’s like pushing people to express themselves in a very joyous positive way, and I just want to say for me personally I have been single for seven years, seeing her on that first date out there in the box with his family I had a big Oprah a-ha moment. There was something so normal about it, and obviously Taylor Swift is everything but normal but I’m a female, I’m going to go out on a date with a male, I’m not going to overthink this, I am not going to be the dark horse and be secretive and weird about it. Like, she just went out on a date and it made me think I could just go out on a date. This was evidence of not being affected by what other people think…it was so calm, confident and normal that is just made me think I should do this too.

Gwyneth: I lost my dad and then I met Chris, my kid’s father three weeks after my dad died, and then Apple came quickly like maybe a year later and because when I had Apple my experience of having her was so incredibly profound and I always steal your line and say it to her, I was born the day she was born. And it reorganized everything for me and I was just like, ‘I don’t think I want to be away for three months.’ I was so lucky that I didn’t have to go back to work six weeks later, and I was able to not work and it felt like such a luxury to be home and with her. And then over time I was like, ‘Who am I then?’ I look back and it’s such a bizarre thing because it’s now fifteen years ago which is unbelievable to me.

Drew:…I love the fact that it really talks about that you are here, you are running it, you are the person, day in and day out. Again it’s that smart intelligent hot woman that I love so much, and then it talks about retirement and when you get out, do you even know when that is?

Gwyneth: I think I think about, I really do think that women live in chapters. I think we do think about the next chapter while we’re very firmly in this chapter, and I don’t think about retiring soon but I am excited for the next chapter of my life at whatever point it comes where I’m in the garden and maybe I have a couple grandkids and maybe I’m not working so hard and I’m sort of exploring what it is to be like a powerful old lady.

Drew: You’re gonna be so hot… You are. Some old ladies are sexy and some aren’t. Like I don’t think I’m going to be a sexy old lady. I’m going to be one of those cool ladies that they make a gif out of whose like dancing like a weird 70s throwback. I’ll be her but that’s okay, that works for me.

Drew: I invited him to a wedding next weekend, and he said, ‘Wow after three and a half years you are going to invite me to a wedding?’ Something about Taylor Swift dating like a normal person and not being a dark horse about it. I was like I overthink everything, I should just on a date. What’s wrong with me? What are you and Brad doing for five-year anniversary?

Gwyneth: We just had it last week…we just had dinner.
