Drew: Is it true that you have watched ‘Sex and the City’ and ‘And Just Like That?’

Adam: Oh yeah I watched ‘Sex and the City’ when it was on originally like we all did and then I got Covid last February, like the original, pre-vaccine Covid, and was trapped in an apartment by myself in New York, and watched all of ‘Sex and the City’ in like two days. And I hadn’t seen it in like twenty years or something and it is incredible. It’s incredible what they were doing and so far ahead of their time, it’s just a terrific show.

Drew: Okay, so are you a Carrie, a Samantha, a Charlotte, or a Miranda?

Adam: I feel like I’m a Miranda probably.

Drew: I think I’ve become a Miranda.

Adam: You have.

Drew: Not the ‘And Just Like That’ Miranda, but the ‘Sex and the City’ Miranda.

Adam: That’s the Miranda I am as well.

Drew: Okay, perfect. I like the ‘And Just Like That’ Miranda, in fact Cynthia Nixon came on the show to talk about it. I love ‘And Just Like That’ because at first I was like I want my old ‘Sex and the City’ and then I was like what am I talking about, we’re all older, we’re not the same, they’re moving on and you do too, and then I got on board.

Adam: Yeah, me too and I also felt a little protective of it, and that people were really quick to jump all over a show starring all these women in their fifties, I feel like we should applaud that and applaud them putting these women on a show together, it’s great.

Adam: We just finished, and Jennifer Garner is on the show now and she and I were sitting there, and someone’s getting us coffee and asking us if we want a snack and we just realize we’re like babies like actors are like toddlers and everything on sets is sort of done for them and it is sort of ridiculous how pampered actors are.

Drew: Is it true that Frankie left a note in your backpack once, will you tell me that story?

Adam: Yeah, I was going on a trip, I was going on location or something, I was gonna be gone for a couple weeks and as I was walking out the door she said daddy I wrote you a note, I put it in your backpack, you can’t open it and read it until you’re on the plane. So I was like oh my god yeah of course this is incredible, got on the plane and waited until we were in the air and I opened this little envelope and I was just so excited, wanted to turn around and tell everyone that I have a daughter who writes me notes…and I open this little note and it’s in an envelope and it’s just a post-it that’s been folded in half and I open it and it says, ‘You suck.’
