On Saturday, March. 6, CBS News 48 HOURS MYSTERY (10:00-11:00 PM ET) was the night's #1 program in both households (4.8/09) and viewers (7.11m), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. The program also won its time period in adults 25-54 (2.0/06). John Tiffin, whose award-winning foreign reports over four decades helped build and define the success of "60 MINUTES," died at home in Rusper, England, last Thursday (4) after a long illness. He was 80. Working almost exclusively with Morley Safer overseas, Tiffin turned out investigations, features and profiles in the 60 MINUTES London office from 1970 until 2002.
