CBS NEWS' "SUNDAY MORNING" IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS PROGRAM FOR 67 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS

THE BROADCAST ALSO POSTED ITS BEST 1ST QUARTER PERFORMANCE IN HOUSEHOLDS SINCE 2007 AND IN VIEWERS SINCE 2006

 

On March 28, 2010, CBS News' SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.6/10 with 5.29m viewers, 1.5/08 in adults 25-54 according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings, making the broadcast the #1 Sunday morning news program for the 67th consecutive week. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +6% in households (from 3.4/10) and +8% in viewers (from 4.89m). Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +2% in viewers (5.13m from 5.04m), even in both households (3.5/10) and adults 25-54 (1.5/08) compared to last year. 

 

In 1st Quarter 2010 SUNDAY MORNING was up +3% in households (3.6/10 from 3.5/10), +2% in viewers (5.18m from 5.09m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.5/08) compared to 1st Quarter 2009.  This is the program's best 1st Quarter performance in households since 2007 and in viewers since 2006

 

 SUNDAY MORNING (28), anchored by Charles Osgood, featured Kimberly Dozier's report about the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and Russ Mitchell's profile of The View co-host Joy Behar.

 

SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET/check local listings) on the CBS Television Network.  Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
