SCOTT PELLEY TO ANCHOR HOUR-LONG EDITION OF THE “CBS EVENING NEWS,” TONIGHT, FRIDAY, JULY 8 (6:30-7:30 PM, ET), FROM DALLAS

CBSN, CBS News’ 24/7 Digital Streaming News Service, to Provide Continuous Coverage from Dallas

Scott Pelley will anchor an extended one-hour live edition of the CBS EVENING NEWS tonight, Friday, July 8 (6:30-7:30 PM, ET) from Dallas, on the CBS Television Network as part of CBS News’ in-depth coverage of the shootings.

CBS News’ coverage of the tragedy began Thursday night on CBSN, the 24/7 digital streaming news service, with Elaine Quijano reporting just after 10:01 PM that there was violence at a protest in Dallas. Those reports soon escalated with Manuel Bojorguez and Omar Villafranca reporting live from Dallas overnight. Today, CBSN’s around-the-clock coverage continues with Anne Marie Green, Jeff Glor, Jamie Yuccas and Reena Ninan anchoring from New York with reports from CBS News correspondents around the country.

Pelley also led CBS THIS MORNING’s expanded three-hours of coverage from Dallas this morning.
