CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN” IS #1 IN VIEWERS ON SUNDAY, SEPT. 12

"FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN” IS THE MOST-WATCHED SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS SHOW FOR 37 WEEKS THIS SEASON

 

CBS News’ FACE THE NATION with MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 show in total viewers on Sunday, September 12, according to Nielsen live-plus-same-day ratings. FACE THE NATION delivered 3 million viewers, and in adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news, FACE THE NATION delivered 461,000 viewers. This Sunday was FACE THE NATION’s fifth consecutive week in the top spot with viewers and its 37th week overall this season.

Sunday’s broadcast featured the return of CBS News chief foreign affairs correspondent Margaret Brennan to the moderator chair along with her interviews with former FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb, Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), former deputy director and acting director of the CIA and CBS News senior national security contributor Michael Morell, Miami-Dade County Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho and Texas Children’s Hospital Pathologist-In-Chief Dr. James Versalovic.

The show also featured reporting from CBS News’ Mark Strassmann in Atlanta on COVID in the United States, Holly Williams in Riyadh on Saudi Arabia fighting extremism in the region and Charlie D’Agata in Pakistan on the continuing chaos in Afghanistan following the U.S. withdrawal.
