CBS NEWS RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF NOV. 1

  • 60 MINUTES was the week’s #7 primetime broadcast in viewers and adults 18+, +19 (tied) in adults 25-54, and was Sunday’s #1 non-sports primetime broadcast with viewers. (Watch 60 MINUTES)

  • CBS MORNINGS, CBS News’ flagship morning program, posted 2.4 million viewers, 509,000 of them in the adult 25-54 demo, and 306,000 among women 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov 5. The new morning program hosted by Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil and Nate Burleson launched on Sept 7. In the nine weeks since launch, CBS MORNINGS is up +5% in adults and +6% in women compared to the previous nine-week period, which is better than the competition (NBC: +3% in adults and +2% in women; ABC: +1% in adults and -1% in women). Compared to last season, CBS MORNINGS has cut the viewer gap with ABC by 1%, and in the demo, CBS has cut into NBC’s lead by 5% and ABC’s by 14%. CBS MORNINGS is delivering the tightest gaps in adults and women 25-54 for the season with NBC and ABC ever (since at least 1991). (Watch CBS MORNINGS)

  • CBS SUNDAY MORNING, anchored by Jane Pauley, marked its 589th consecutive week as America’s #1 Sunday morning news program, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Nov. 7. The broadcast delivered 5.0 million viewers with 793,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demographic. CBS SUNDAY MORNING holds 50% of the three-network morning audience. (Watch CBS SUNDAY MORNING)

  • FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show on Nov. 7, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION delivered 2.6 million viewers and 457,000 in adults 25-54. Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers and is leading NBC for the first time in seven years in women 25-54. Additionally, FACE THE NATION is posting its largest lead over NBC since 2014 in total viewers (+316k) and women 25-54 (+7k). (Press Release) (Watch FACE THE NATION)

  • The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL posted week-to-week gains in adults 25-54 (+6%), its best weekly average in nine weeks and the largest week-to-week increase in adults (and women) among the network evening news broadcasts. This season, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL is delivering the tightest demo gap with NBC in 15 years (since 2006) and with ABC since 2018. For the week ending Nov. 5, the CBS EVENING NEWS delivered 5.04 million viewers and 913,000 in adults 25-54. Compared to last year, the CBS EVENING NEWS is closing the demo gap with NBC by 35% and with ABC by 27%. In viewers, CBS has closed the gap by 16% against NBC and 13% with ABC.   • 48 HOURS posted its largest audience since Sept. 25, and was Saturday’s #1 primetime non-sports program with viewers. The broadcast delivered 2.69 million viewers with 518,000 of them in the advertiser-desired adults 25-54 demographic. 48 HOURS added +120,000 viewers (+5% from 2.57 million) when compared to the previous week.
