FACE THE NATION” CONTINUES STREAK AS MOST-WATCHED SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS PROGRAM

CBS News’ FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show on Oct. 10, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION scored the top spot in adults 25-54 (460,000) and total viewers (2.7 million) Sunday and posted gains in both categories (+9% in adults 25-54 and +3% in total viewers) compared to last week.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION posted the tightest gap with NBC in the key adults 25-54 demographic in seven years.

Sunday’s broadcast featured moderator Margaret Brennan’s interviews with Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), president and CEO of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Mary C. Daly, former FDA commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb, CBS News cybersecurity expert and analyst Chris Krebs, and former National Security Council senior director for European and Russian affairs Fiona Hill.

CBS News Elections and Surveys Director Anthony Salvanto joined the broadcast to discuss the findings of the latest CBS News polling. CBS News’ Mark Strassmann reported on the country’s battle against the lingering virus.
