“48 HOURS” IS SATURDAY’S #1 NON-SPORTS PRIMETIME BROADCAST WITH VIEWERS

48 HOURS: “#LindasStory” was Saturday’s #1 non-sports primetime program with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 16. The broadcast delivered 2.36 million viewers with 472,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demographic desired most by advertisers in news.

Saturday’s broadcast featured correspondent Tracy Smith and 48 HOURS’ report on the case of Linda O’Keefe, an 11-year-old girl who was murdered 45 years ago, and the innovative use of Twitter today by the Newport Beach Police Department in California to find her killer.

48 HOURS: “#LindasStory” is produced by Gayane Keshishyan Mendez. George Baluzy and Marcus Balsam are the editors. Chelsea Narvaez, Hannah Vair, Danielle Arman and Addison Briley are the associate producers. Lourdes Aguiar is the senior producer. Nancy Kramer is the executive story editor.
