CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS SHOW ON SUNDAY, OCT. 24

FACE THE NATION” RANKED #1 IN BOTH VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54, AND CONTINUES ITS STREAK AS THE MOST-WATCHED SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS PROGRAM

CBS News’ FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show on Oct. 24, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION scored the top spot in adults 25-54 (541,000) and total viewers (3.01 million) Sunday and posted gains in both categories (+11% in adults 25-54 and +8% in total viewers) compared to its last airing on Oct. 10.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION posted the tightest gap with NBC in adults 25-54 demographic and its largest total viewer lead over MTP in seven years.

Sunday’s broadcast featured moderator Margaret Brennan’s interviews with former FDA commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), chief economist of the International Monetary Fund Gita Gopinath, and former U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad.

Today’s broadcast also featured reporting from CBS News’ Mark Strassmann, Elizabeth Palmer, and Imtiaz Tyab.
