“CBS MORNINGS” POSTS MOST GROWTH IN VIEWERS WEEK-TO-WEEK
“CBS MORNINGS” CONTINUES ITS BEST COMPETITIVE POSITION ON RECORD IN ADULTS AND WOMEN THIS SEASON
Since its premiere on Sept. 7, CBS MORNINGS is the only broadcast morning show to increase its audience in adults 25-54. For the six-week period, CBS MORNINGS is up +1% while NBC is down -7% and ABC is down -5% compared to the week of Sept. 7.
CBS MORNINGS posted the most growth in viewers among broadcast morning shows week-to-week, according to Nielsen live plus same day for the week ending Oct. 22.
The program also delivered its best numbers in three weeks in the key adults demo.
For the week, the broadcast delivered 2.5 million viewers (+1%), with 533,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demo (+2%).
For the season, CBS MORNINGS is delivering the tightest gaps in adults and women 25-54 with NBC and ABC ever (since 1991).
CBS MORNINGS has cut the total viewer gap with ABC by 7%.
In the demo, CBS MORNINGS has cut the gaps with NBC by 7% and with ABC by 20%.
Among women 25-54 CBS MORNINGS has cut the gap with ABC by 28% (-182k) and with NBC by 21% ( -230k). Both gaps are the narrowest ever.
Gaps among men 25-54 for the season are even closer; CBS MORNINGS has come to within a mere -41k with ABC and to within only -103k with NBC.
