SEASON-TO-DATE, “FACE THE NATION” REMAINS THE MOST-WATCHED SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS PROGRAM

CBS News’ FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 show in total viewers on Nov. 7, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION delivered 2.6 million viewers, and had 457,000 viewers in adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in total viewers. For the first time in seven years, FACE THE NATION is posting its tightest demo gap with NBC and beating them in women 25-54. Additionally, FACE THE NATION is posting its largest lead over NBC since 2014 in total viewers (+316,000) and women 25-54 (+7,000).

Sunday’s broadcast featured moderator Margaret Brennan’s interviews with Cedric Richmond, senior adviser to the president and director of the White House Office of Public Engagement; Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.); former FDA commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb; Fred Smith, FedEx executive leadership chairman and CEO; CBS News chief political analyst John Dickerson; and Amy Walter, publisher and editor-in-chief of the Cook Political Report. Sunday’s program also featured a report from CBS News senior national correspondent Mark Strassmann on America marking a sobering COVID milestone amid new hope for kids.
