CBS NEWS RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF NOV. 29

  • 60 MINUTES finished the week in the top 10 and was Sunday’s #1 non-sports program with viewers. 60 MINUTES delivered 10.30 million viewers with 2.37 million of them in the adults 25-54 demographic, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Dec. 5. 60 MINUTES was the week’s #5 primetime broadcast in both viewers and adults 18+ and #8 in adults 25-54.   • CBS SUNDAY MORNING, anchored by Jane Pauley, marked its 593rd consecutive week as America’s #1 Sunday morning news program, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Dec. 5. The broadcast delivered 5.1 million viewers with 790,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demographic. CBS SUNDAY MORNING holds 50% of the three-network morning audience. (Watch CBS SUNDAY MORNING)

  • CBS MORNINGS posted 2.6 million viewers, 521,000 of them in the adult 25-54 demo, and 296,000 among women 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 3. In the week following Thanksgiving, CBS MORNINGS was the only morning news program to see any growth in viewers, with a 2% increase from the prior week. The new morning program hosted by Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil and Nate Burleson launched on Sept. 7. In the 13 weeks since launch, CBS MORNINGS is up +8% in adults and +10% in women compared to the previous 13-week period, which is better than the competition, NBC (+5% in adults and women) and ABC (+2% in adults and down -1% in women). Compared to last season, CBS MORNINGS has cut into NBC’s lead on the A25-54 demo by 9% and ABC’s by 12%.   • FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show on Dec. 5, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION delivered 2.8 million viewers and 551,000 in adults 25-54. Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers for the second consecutive year (leading NBC +320,000 viewers season-to-date) and is leading NBC for the first time in seven years in the women 25-54 demographic.   • The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL delivered 5.229 million viewers and 875,000 in adults 25-54 the week ending Dec. 3. This season, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL is delivering the tightest demo gap with NBC in 15 years (since 2006) and with ABC since 2018. Compared to last year, the CBS EVENING NEWS is closing the demo gap with NBC by 32% and with ABC by 24%. In viewers, CBS has closed the gap by 12% against NBC and 16% with ABC.   • 48 HOURS was Saturday’s #1 non-sports program and posted its largest audience since May 16, 2020. 48 HOURS delivered 3.44 million viewers with 823,000 of them in the adults 25-54, demographic according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Dec. 5. 48 HOURS was up +610,000 viewers (from 2.83m, +22%) and up +40% in adults 25-54 when compared to the 48 HOURS edition on Nov. 20.   • CBS SATURDAY MORNING delivered 1.8 million total viewers with 388,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demo. Through 11 weeks this season, CBS SATURDAY MORNING has closed the gaps with ABC in total viewers by 29% and by 4% with NBC.
