“60 MINUTES” ENDS 2021-2022 TELEVISION SEASON WITH SEVEN #1 FINISHES IN VIEWERS AND IS TV’S #1 NEWS PROGRAM
MAKES THE TOP 10 FOR THE 27TH TIME THIS SEASON
Sunday marked the end of season 54 for 60 MINUTES. The newsmagazine finished the 2021-2022 season as television’s #1 primetime broadcast in viewers seven times and was the #1 news program in total viewers. The program made the top five in viewers 18 times this season.
60 MINUTES was the week’s #7 primetime broadcast, finishing in the top 10 for the 27th time out of 28 airings this season. The program delivered 6.28 million total viewers, 2.5/10 in adults 18+ and 0.8/05 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, May 22.
Sunday’s edition of 60 MINUTES featured Bill Whitaker’s investigation into the lack of essential drugs; Scott Pelley’s visit to a school on Chicago’s South Side as students experienced a miracle; and Norah O’Donnell’s profile of opera singer Jonas Kaufmann. Click here to watch the broadcast.
