Face the Nation” Was #1 in Viewers on Sunday, May 22 Its 33rd Week in the Top Spot This Season

FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers on Sunday, May 22, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION delivered 2.6 million viewers with 468,000 in adults 25-54 for the week.

For the season, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers for the second consecutive year (leading NBC by +367,000 viewers) and is leading NBC for the first time in seven years in the women 25-54 demographic. FACE THE NATION has ranked #1 in total viewers for 33 of 35 weeks this season and for the last 12 consecutive weeks.

Sunday’s broadcast featured moderator Margaret Brennan’s interviews with Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Jason Furman, former chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers and Robert Gates, former defense secretary.

CBS News elections and surveys director Anthony Salvanto joined Brennan in the studio Sunday to discuss findings from the latest CBS News poll. Senior White House and political correspondent Ed O’Keefe reported from Georgia, where former President Donald Trump has backed several candidates in this week’s primaries.
